Daring you to Scrap - Feb 12 - Child of Mine

This is the first time I've done a challenge on Daring You To Scrap, a newish blog challenge site. The challenge was to use a song title/ lyrics as the main design element on the page. The photo is another 'oldie', taken in Dec 1991 and the song is from Carole King 'Sweet Child of Mine'.

Scrapbook Boutique - Feb Inspiration Challenge

This months's inspiration again comes from 'cupcakes' with the colors of pink/ red and white. Well I didn't do so well with pink and red, so stuck with pink/ black/ grey and white from the Echo Park "BE MINE" range.

ARTastic: Feb 2012 'Molly Duker'

This months challenge at ARTastic is to take inspiration from the painting 'heart and soul' by Brenda York. The additional criteria was a) predominately red with a touch of green (yes I have used more that just a 'touch' but the lettering was better in green!), b)red hearts (on the ribbon) and c) a black and white photo.
The photo was taken on Christmas Day in 1988, when we discovered that Aidan really was left handed.

Screen to Scrap - Feb. 2012 - I {heart} Australia

Screen to Scrap's inspiration this month comes from the Movie Poster - Valentine's Day. The criteria included a) lots of small photos, b) black background and c) 2 red hearts.
The photos come from our local Australia Day celebrations, where friends of ours, Shirley Swallow and Kevin Smith, were awarded the local citizen/s of the year.

Show Us Your Stash - Feb Sketch - "Three"

This is the first time I have done a sketch with "Show Us Your Stash". It's a lovely site with some awesome inspiration. My layout features my youngest son, Leigh, on his 3rd birthday (he's now 23!!). Gost these old photos are hard to work with.

Arts & Frames Scrapping Class

I'm so excited to have been asked to teach a class at our local art shop "Arts and Frames" in May. After discussion with the owner, Louise, I have decided to run a 'technique' based class, demonstrating lost of different techniques and giving the participants the change to plays with different tools.

I made these cards today and just loved how they turned out. I've used the MME 'lost and found' 6X6 papers, with some new die cuts I recently bought.
