Screen to Scrap - Dec challenge - One excited Santa

Every Christmas, one of the grandchildren got to play Santa. This was Aidan's first year and he was soooo excited. In this picture is my mothers dolls house, that she did up in a Christmas theme to act as her 'Christmas Tree'.  Check out the cute little reindeer in the bottom right hand side.

The additional criteria this month was to have a Christmas Hat/s, a 2 colored title and white cardstock.

Crafty Sketches - Dec challenge - 'tis the Season

......... to be SILLY. This months sketch lends itself to a Christmas Photo. So it's back to 1996 and a pair of monkeys that loved to dress up.

CMIT November 2011 challenge - Christmas

The theme for this month is Christmas, so I have made some Christmas cards using some new reindeer die-cuts from ScrapMatts.

Card and a Half - Nov 2011 Sketch challenge

Another month and another card sketch. This month I have used the sketch to make one of my Christmas Cards. Thanks for the inspiration Helen.

Screen to Scrap Nov 2011 Challenge - 'I still call Australia HOME'.

This is the first photo from our recent USA trip to be scrapped. We were in Bryce Canyon in the snow!! The additional requirements for this challenge were (1) the word HOME (2) white journalling and (3) a photo of a family group.

Crafty Sketches - Nov 2011 Sketch Challenge - A Special Bond

I just love this picture of Leigh, at age 6, with Daren's Aunty Fran. The really did have a special bond. The PP's are from the new MME "lost and found' series.

Stuck!?Sketches - Nov 1 - Another year older

Another old photo, this time for Stuck!?Sketches November 1 sketch challenge. I've used the Echo Park 'SPLASH' range.

RES November - One lucky boy

Mistra's challenge this month is to use stickers- 3 different types of stickers. This layout is from 1993 when Leigh turned 5, and all he wanted was a party with his cousins.

A little late but here is my October layout for Crafty Sketches. Having just been overseas for 6 weeks, I didn't have time to put this up here before I left. The photo is my great nephew Cooper.

Crafty Sketches - September - Gold Coast Marathon

Here is my layout for Crafty Sketches September challenge. The photos are from 1995 and I can't believe how slim and fit I look (sigh, if only I was younger!!!)
I'm so excited to have won last months Crafty Sketches (August) with my layout "My boys". That makes me a guest designer for October, but I can't show you that one yet!!

Scrapbook Boutique - Sept challenge

This month's challenge was based on inspiration from a plate of the most amazing cupcakes. The colors pink, and aqua with pearls...  here is what I came up with:

CMIT Challenge - September - Spooky Faces

This is my layout for CMIT (Creating Memories in Time) for September. The theme is to be inspired by Halloween. A tough one to do when your children are grown and gone, and we don't really do Halloween in Australia like they celebrate in the US.

RES Mistra's September challenge - Lyla

I know I've used this photo before, but it's part of an album I'm giving to my gorgeous great neice for her first birthday. Mistra's challenge asked us to do some hand stitching.

RES/Stuck?!Sketches - September challenge - Turning 4

The September challenges are out. This is my first one for RES/ Stuck!?Sketches (I can enter both with this one). The photo is of my boys back in 1990, celebrating Aidan's 4th Birthday.

Random Cards -KaiserCraft "pink gelato" range

As you might all well know, I am NOT a pink girl, and this soft, pastel range is NOT something I would usually pick. However, I decided that if I was to sell my cards I would need to have a big range (as I do know that other people DO like pink and pastel). So here they are:

Random cards - KaiserCraft "Hunter & Gatherer' Range

I've had a little play with the new Hunter & Gatherer range from KaiserCraft. I'm not sure I actually like this range (other than it has some nice grungy backgrounds) but the fish don't do much for me. Needless to say I haven't used the fish as yet.

Using KaiserCraft "Velvet Ensemble"

I've had a play with Kaiser's new 6x6 pad from their 'Velvet Ensemble' Range. I love the earthy colors an even the fussy cutting was a page from the paper pad. I'm pretty happy with them and they wre cheap and quick cards to make.

Card and a Half - Challenge 4

The first challenge for this month is to use texture. I've used a cor'dinations cardstock with a clock emboss and some papers from the new KaiserCraft range - Black & White Timeless. The Monarch butterfly is my new punch.

RERT Week 12 - "1-today"

Happy Birthday to RES and congratulations to Helen for achieving this milestone with a smile still on her face and a lovely little store and forum to boot.
This weeks challenge is based on the balloon festival in Canowindra (where Helen lives) and I had to add a home made, paper pierced hot air balloon. This layout is of my youngest son's 1st birthday, and I love the look on his older brothers face.

The Red Earth Road Trip is now over, the only think left to do is to air out the sleeping bag, and start planning for the next trip (or perhaps that should say, clean out the scrap room and buy
some more supplies!!!)
Thank you to Helen and her creative team for a fun 3-month journey around Australia with some great company, some great challenges and lots of fun.
