The theme challenge at Soul this month is "HOME". I've had this photo for a while, after visiting my old home a few years ago. It tells the story of our family's home in Charlton, a new and proud place in 1958, now a derelict and unloved commission house.
This layout is part of my BOM.

RES mystery box challenge: Meet my friend
Soul Scrappers CCU4/ Retreat layout 3: Blokes Business
I've been a bit cheeky and used this layout for 2 challenges. The first is from the Soul Scrappers CCU4 challenge using twine/ banners/ buttons and the second from a challenge from our recent retreat to use some lines from a friendship poem.
This layout tells the story of my DH and my best friends new DH (the wedding I photographed), getting to know each other over dinner. I hope their friendship is as strong as ours is.

3SSS Kit challenge: A tick off the bucket list
I recently went on retreat with a group of women from a website "ScrapChat". It was a fun, nurturing, scrapping weekend with beatiful food, friends and laughs. This layout was part of a Secret Swap Kit challenge and tells the story of my DH's first parachute jump (a christmas present that he could not use until 3 months after his cardiac stent). My secret swapper provided the cardstock/ PP's and embellishments for this layout.
Screen2Scrap: June 2012: Who killed Dr. Max.
Screen2Scrap's inspiration this month comes from the movie poster "Hairspray". The additional requirements include Bright colors, 10 squares and something hair related.
This layout tells the story of my recent work retreat, where we hosted a 'who killed...' plot over dinner. Each of my colleagues took their roles seriously, with some bad hair, very funny overacting and wonderful costumes. I played the role of forensic photographer, which gave me permission to take photographs all night.

Soul Scrappers SLC9 - "I care"
This was a tough challenge. Over at Soul, the monthly song/ lyric challenge was to take inspiration from the song Care - by Kid Rock. I was reminded of some photos I took in the US last year, of homeless and destitute people, living on the streets in San Francisco, and the struggle I have taking photos of these people. The journalling tells the story
Soul Scrappers - SC52 "Where's that mouse"
Soul Scrappers WC10 - Fun is Good
I'm a bit behind in updating my scrapping blog, so while it's been quiet here, I have been busy.
This layout was made for Soul Scrappers, using the word "FUN" for inspiration. I have so many photos of my youngest playing the clown it was hard to choose which photo (again a photo that is 22 years old!)
