This months challenge comes from Australian portrait artist Julia Sattout. Its a beautiful portrait of a little girl in pink. Fortunately the criteria this month is only 'portrait' as we don't have many little girls or PINK around here. I couldn't resist this photo of Daren with a look that I see often...
It's been a while since I did an ARTistic challenge, but this based on Charles Meere's painting "Australia Beach Pattern" presented an easy challenge of a beachy layout.
Again using older photos, this time Aidan at 10, Leigh at 8 1/2 playing on the beach at Phillip Island (Jan 1996).
I love these SSQ challenges, you get a small package of items to make up a layout - you never know what you are getting and the challenge invites you to use ALL the items.
To get this layout, my long suffering DH was very cooperative with a photo shoot. I'm really happy with the result.
Liz has set us a double challenge this month, to use a minimum 5 photos with a holiday/travel theme.
Daren and I ventured to Mt Kosciuzsko in January, during a heat wave, where only the flies were enjoying themselves. Amazing scenery, bloody flies!!
Mary's last word challenge before she sets us a new challenge thread. This time the word was BELIEVE. I've used some recent photos of Leigh, taken on Christmas Day, 2012.
Soul Scrappers have a new challenge this month - Around the World.
ATW1 is a layout inspired by some photos of Australia.
Can't go past our celebrations for Australia Day, 2013.
the challenge this month is to use green/ yellow and white. This is an old BG series, but it works well... Thanks Scrapbooking Boutique for another great challenge
