Scrapbook Boutique Jan 2012 'Purple, Green & White"

The Theme for January on Scrapbook Boutique is "purple, green and white". While I love purple, I don't scrap so much with it so I thought I'd make some cards with the Kaiser La Di Da Range. Yes there is a little bit of pink but I've tried to have only a little of it.

RES Happy Scrappy New Year Competition - Challenge 4

Challenge 4 sees a challenge with 'excess'. The theme is binge (as in Christmas Bingeing) so we were challenged to use: * 2 or more photos, * 3 clusters of embellishments, * 3 different edging techniques & * more than 2 sentences of journalling. The 'secret' item was one of the Chinese elements (I've used metal). These photos were actually taken in 2009, when I challenged myself to take a picture of me, every day for 28 days. The file of photos still makes me chuckle.

Crafty Sketches Jan 2012 - SSSSnake

I had to do a layout about this and tell the world my Christmas Day story, when we found a 1.5m brown snake tangled in my vegie garden netting. I'd actually walked past it (in thongs and after a few Christmas drinks) and started to pull up the netting when I spotted him. Needless to say he is now in snake heaven (or rather parts of him have arrived in snake heaven). The sketch for Crafty Sketches this month was perfect with using multiple photos. Its a little bit different, but it's part of my story. Yes "There's was a sssssnake in my (vegie) garden"

Challenge 3 asked us to do a layout about something NEW. This is my youngest son, Leigh, with his NEW truck, that he dreamt about, and saved up for, and finally owns.

I've really enjoyed Stuck's first sketch of 2012 and I just love how this has turned out - a fitting tribute to the 3 most important people in my life (not least of all for their tolerance of my crazy passion for scrapbooking).
